I Tried 30+ Free AI Website Builders - These 10 Are the Absolute Best
Here are the top 10 AI website builders you should try, even if you have no coding experience!
If you follow me, you probably know I started out as a web developer.
I’ve written tons of code to build websites from scratch — and let me tell you, it was not at all easy. The process used to be long, tedious, and sometimes straight-up frustrating.
But things have changed.
Thanks to AI website builders, generating websites is now ridiculously easy — even if you have zero coding experience. And in the past 2 years, I’ve tried over 30 free AI website builders myself.
I used them to make websites for me and my clients, saved a lot of time, and yes, made some good money too.
The best part? Along the way, I’ve found out some of the best & free AI website builders, and that’s what I want to share with you today.
Just so you know, most “free” AI website builders come with some limits.
You usually have to pay if you want to use your own domain name, get rid of ads, or try out extra features.
Note: In this post, I’m going to show how the free AI website builders generate some great website designs. I’m not going to edit them further, since I want to focus purely on the generation. Also, this post contains a few affiliate links. If you choose to become a paid member through them, I may earn a small commission - at no extra cost to you.
With that said, let’s get started.
The problem with most “free AI website builders”
If you Google “free AI website builder”, you’ll actually find tons of options.
But after testing 30+ of them myself, I can confidently say — most of them are simply useless.
Some just provide you with generic pre-made templates and call it “AI”. And others generate weird, broken designs that no one in their right mind would ever use.
So yeah, I’m not here to waste your time talking about those.
I’m going to share some AI website builders that can make good-looking websites just from the prompt you write. They’re simple to edit, and you can publish your site with a free subdomain too.
The only catch? Most of them include some branding or ads unless you pay to remove it.
And in this post, I’m focusing on the 10 best free AI website builders that:
Are genuinely easy to use
Generate modern, responsive designs based on your prompt
Let you customize the website further without writing code
Allow free publishing (at least with a subdomain)
Based on that, here is the one that I recommend if you want to build a complex website and don’t have time, and so on.
Fiverr Website Development Service
I know this is not technically an AI website builder, but I need to include it here just to save your time and frustration.
Let me be honest — most of the free AI website builders are not actually free. You need to pay to connect to a custom domain, remove the branding, or use some features.
And also, you need to spend your time finding the best AI website builder, and then design the website for hours, and then pay to get it live.
Instead, you can simply head over to Fiverr (since it’s trusted and affordable), search for “website development”, and then hire an expert at an affordable price.
Sure, you can even search for “wordpress website”, “wix website”, “shopify website”, and more.
And then apply the filters to find the specific freelancers based on different categories, budget, and more.
Lastly, see the ratings and reviews of the selected freelancers, and then hire the one that you prefer.
If you want, here are some of the best freelancers you can hire (I’ve been hiring web developers for more than 3 years, so I’m recommending them to you):
Suhag A (for custom web app)
Alex Jason (for custom web app)
Waqar H (for WordPress website)
Khalid M (for WordPress website)
Shabir (for Shopify website)
Divishha G (for Shopify website)
Well, this will actually save your time, and you will get your own personalised website from an expert rather than an AI website builder that is not so smart.
Now, let’s dive into the recommendations of the best free AI website builders.
1. Readdy AI
Most of you probably haven’t heard of this yet, but the moment I saw the kind of websites it generates and the depth of features packed into it, it quickly caught my attention.
I’m talking about Readdy AI.
To get started, you just need to visit their ai website builder and click the “Get Started” button to create your account.
After that, you simply need to write a detailed prompt about what you want to generate.
I’ve written this prompt:
Design a modern, minimalist website for an online education business selling premium courses.
The visual style should feel clean, calm, and trustworthy, inspired by modern SaaS and creator brands. Use generous white space, strong typography, subtle accents, and avoid heavy graphics.
The homepage should clearly communicate the core outcome:
– A bold hero headline focused on results
– A short transformation-driven subheadline
– A clear primary CTA like “Explore Courses” or “Start Learning”Include course cards with clear value, social proof, a confident and human instructor or brand story, and simple pricing that emphasizes value.
Design should be mobile-first, fast, and distraction-free, using neutral colors with one accent, modern sans-serif fonts, rounded elements, and subtle hover effects.
The overall feel should be premium, credible, and conversion-focused without being salesy.
And based on that, here’s what it generated:
Insane, right?
Well, that’s not all. It also lets you generate a logo, select elements to edit, generate dynamic backgrounds, connect to a Supabase database, integrate with popular apps, publish with a subdomain, use one-click SEO optimization, provide analytics, and much more.
And the best part? You can get started for free, generate up to 2 projects, and use all of these features within their free plan.
2. Mobirise AI
To be honest, I hadn’t heard about this one before, but when I was researching, I found it mind-blowing.
I’m talking about Mobirise, a no-code AI website builder that lets you create websites using simple drag-and-drop tools or entirely through AI prompts. You can then customize the design however you like, without writing a single line of code.
What impressed me most is that it generates far better-looking websites than many other builders I’ve tried.
Mobirise also includes everything you’d expect, like tons of free and premium themes, free subdomain hosting, and built-in integrations with PayPal and Stripe if you want to sell products or services.
To get started with the Mobirise AI website builder, you just need to visit their website and write a prompt describing what you want to generate.
After that, create your account, and it will build a website based on your prompt.
When I tested it, it gave me four different layout options to choose from (or I could regenerate new ones).
I selected one of these options, and here’s what it generated:
Here are some more websites created by the community for inspiration:
As for pricing, Mobirise is free to start, and you only need to upgrade if you want access to premium themes or extra features.
3. Durable
Most of you may have heard about this one since it is already very popular, and so far has generated over 10 million websites since launching. This website builder is known for being the fastest website builder, giving you a fully functioning site in under 30 seconds.
And besides being a website builder, it also gives the ability to generate articles and content for a blog and provides products like a brand builder and even an invoice builder.
Essentially, it helps you to start and run your entire business from within the Durable dashboard.
I’m talking about the Durable AI Website Builder.
To get started, simply visit the Durable website and write about the website you want to generate.
I tried by writing a simple prompt, i.e.,
I run a content writing business that helps founders, creators, and companies grow with high-value articles, newsletters, and blog posts.
I write clear, engaging, SEO-friendly content that ranks on Google, goes viral on Medium/Dev.to, and builds loyal audiences on Substack. My focus is on results.
Website should include:
• A strong headline showing authority in content + growth
• About Me: writer with proven results (viral posts, ranked articles)
• Services: blog writing, newsletters, SEO content
• Why Work With Me: trust, traffic, sales
• Contact/Hire Me call-to-actionTone: Professional, direct, and impact-driven.
Design: Clean, minimal, easy to read.
And based on this prompt, here’s what it generated:
Insane, right?
And the best part? I haven’t edited anything in the above outputs, it’s all generated by AI.
Sure, I can further customize it the way I want.
Talking about the pricing, you can generate your websites and customize them for free, but to publish and use more advanced features, you need to upgrade to one of their paid plans.
4. Appy Pie
Well, this one lets you generate apps and websites with the help of AI, and it can even convert your website into an app just by entering your website URL.
I’m talking about Appy Pie, which claims that more than 10 million businesses trust them, and also offers other platforms like Pixazo, Appy Pie Automate, and more.
Since this post focuses on the best AI website builders, I’ll just use Appy Pie to generate a website for me.
To get started, simply visit their AI website builder page and write a short description of the website you want to create.
Then, sign up, and it will automatically generate the website for you.
Based on my simple prompt, here’s what it created for me:
Insane, right?
Sure, I can further edit the website however I like, and even publish it for free using a subdomain.
Thanks to this simple workflow, you can generate websites across almost every category like:
Talking about the pricing, you can create your first AI website for free with a 7-day trial.
After that, you can choose from two pricing plans if you decide to continue.
5. Neo Sites
Neo Sites is another AI website builder you might not have heard of before.
The best part is that you can build your entire website using its AI and deploy it with a free domain name. As a bonus, you can also use that domain to set up a professional email account with Neo Mail.
In short, it is a fully integrated tool for building your online identity.
To get started, visit their website and click the “Try it yourself for FREE” button.
Next, enter your industry. For example, if you sell cakes and pastries, you would select the food and beverage industry.
After that, you will be asked to enter a short prompt describing your business. Keep it clear and specific.
Here is the prompt I used:
I run a premium cake business named “Velvet Crumb,” creating fresh, made to order custom cakes for birthdays, weddings, and special occasions. I offer flavor selection, design customization, local delivery, and easy WhatsApp ordering.
Based on this prompt, Neo Sites generated 9 different website templates for me.
Insane, right?
Once you choose a template and click “Edit this Design”, you can customize it however you like. The drag and drop editor makes it easy to edit content, sections, color schemes, and layout without any technical skills.
As for pricing, their yearly plan starts at $3.59 per month and includes most of the features you will need to get started.
6. Butternut AI
Well, this website builder claims that you can generate your dream website within 20 seconds, and you can get started for free.
I’m talking about Butternut AI.
You just need to visit their website, and then write a specific prompt about what you want to generate, along with the name of your business.
I’ve written this prompt:
Create a clean and modern personal portfolio website for a freelance content writer named Nitin Sharma. The homepage should include an introduction, writing samples, testimonials, and a contact form. Make it SEO-optimized and mobile-responsive. Use a minimalist design style with a black and white color palette, and include links to Substack, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
And here’s what it generated:
And the best part?
I can regenerate the complete website, build a new section with AI, ask AI for more, and edit everything easily by the intuitive editing functionalities. The coolest thing I liked was that you can use the ‘Ask with AI’ feature, and it does everything for you.
Talking about the pricing, you can get started for free to try it out, and your free website remains live for 5 days and when you’re ready to take it live, you can upgrade to a paid plan.
As you can see, with the $20 per month plan, you can link one custom domain, create unlimited edits and customizations, generate unlimited pages, get automated SEO, and more.
After seeing these features and the insane website it generated, I need to say it’s one of the best AI website builders for those who want to build their dream website with ease.
7. Wix AI Website Builder
Now, let’s talk about one of my favorite, and one of the best AI website builders out there.
I’m talking about Wix AI Website Builder, and the company behind it started adding AI features over 5 years ago.
And to be honest, when they launched the “AI Website Builder” — maybe in the year 2024 — I was one of the first to use this feature.
So far, I’ve made at least 25 to 30 websites using this AI website builder for my clients, and it made some of the best website designs.
But how to get started?
You just need to visit their AI website builder page and click on the button “Create with AI”.
You then need to sign up, and then it will chat with you to get to know what you want to create.
It asked me about what I want to create, the name, the goal, the target audience, and then it got all the info, as you can see on the right side.
And then based on that, here’s what it created:
I liked it, and it published the website with a free subdomain of Wix, with a bit of ad at the top, and it’s completely free.
And sure, I can further customize it the way I want.
Talking about the pricing for to get custom domain and more features, the plans start from $17 per month and go up to $159 per month.
8. Framer
Well, I’m actually a big fan of Framer, and I’ve even advertised them in some of my previous posts for free.
And after building a ton of websites with Framer, I need to say they are one of the best in generating websites with AI.
But how do you get started?
Well, you just need to visit their website, and then click on the button “Start for free”.
And then you need to create an account using Google or through email.
After that, you will be redirected to a project, where you just need to go to “Main Menu → File → Generate Page” to generate with AI, as you can see below.
You can even search for “Generate Page” using “Ctrl/Cmd + K,” and then write the prompt.
Here’s a simple prompt that I wrote:
I want to build a portfolio website for me as a content writer so that clients can see my blogs, the platforms where I wrote, and can contact me for some work.
And here’s what it generated:
Insane, right?
Talking about the pricing for to get custom domain and more features, the personal plans start from $5 per month and go up to $30 per month.
9. Dora AI
When I was researching for the best AI website builder, I was surprised that no blog post has mentioned Dora AI.
Maybe it is relatively new, but let me tell you — it generates some of the best designs, and you can try it out for free.
To get started, you just need to visit their website and click on the button “Start with AI”.
Then you need to create an account, and it will ask you a couple of not-so-important questions.
After that, you need to write a prompt.
I will go with the same prompt that I’ve mentioned earlier, and as you can see, and it gives 120 credits to generate your website.
And based on the prompt that I wrote, it generated two AI previews, from which I’ve selected the first one.
Here’s what it generated:
Insane, right?
And the best part is that I wrote a simple prompt to generate this one.
Here’s the pricing info to get a custom domain and more features:
10. 10Web
Now, let’s talk about another cool AI website builder that has created 1.5M+ websites so far.
I’m talking about 10Web.
And the best part? Getting started is pretty easy.
You just need to visit their website, and then write the prompt.
And then it will create the site structure, and then the mockup, which can be edited like the way you want.
And after clicking the “Generate” button, I need to sign up, and here’s what it generated:
Well, the design is not so good, but I like the way it first generates the site structure, and then the mockup, which we can easily edit like the way we want.
And if you see the generated website, you can see that it even added some animations.
Sure, I can customize it further like the way I want, but I want to keep it as it is.
And here’s the pricing info to get a custom domain and more features:
Bonus: Jimdo
To be honest, I only gave this one a try once a couple of months ago, but I’ve seen quite a few blogs on Google hyping it up, so I had to test it myself.
Yes, the process is super simple.
But let me tell you upfront , it’s not that great. It doesn’t even generate the website based on your actual prompt.
Here’s how it works:
You just need to visit their site, click on the “Start now” button, and sign up using your Google account or email.
Then you’ll see two options — we’re going with the first one, since we want to generate a website.
After that, it’ll ask you a bunch of questions:
What’s your website for?
What’s the name of your project?
What are your goals?
What kind of design style do you want?
…and a few more basic things.
Based on your answers, it spits out a website.
Here’s what I got:
Honestly, it’s okay, clean and simple, but nothing special. That’s exactly why I’ve placed this tool at the bottom of the list.
Here’s the pricing info:
Hope you like it.
That’s it — thanks.

Gratitude and blessings to you, Nitin - very helpful!
What about Lovable?
I think it works pretty well too.
